Having a Great Trip With Kids

Published

on

Being a parent is a wonderful experience. Parenting means being part of it all from the first tooth to the first grandchild. One way to enjoy life even more is to travel with kids. It’s time to think about highly-specific details. This includes the desired destination, the choice of transportation and making sure that the kids are happy while they’re on their way there. Whether you’re traveling with twin babies or teens, the key to family fun is lots of advanced preparation and thinking about what will make everyone happy.

Deciding on a Destination

One of the first things to do is decide on a destination. Many parents already have an idea of the kind of vacation they want. This might be a tropical island or a ski resort that caters to adults and children. Setting up finances for the trip with installment loan direct lenders is a great way to begin. Timing is also important. Kids are off during the summer months, making many parents on a set schedule when it comes to deciding on a time frame for the vacation. A mother should be especially careful to practice self-care as plans her vacation. Think about a child’s special interests. For example, a kid might have a special love of water sports or have a particular academic bent. In that case, bringing the child to places where they can play on the beach or spend time visiting historic sites and museums when it rains is a good bet.

Driving or Flying?

Another factor to take into account is how to get there. This means deciding to drive or taking a plane. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Driving allows for more control. It makes it easy to get up and just leave. Driving also lets families bring everything they need with them in one convenient place. At the same time, driving takes a long time. Flying is typically quicker and makes it possible to consider options such as Europe, South America and the rest of the world. However, flying can be costly and hard to organize. Some flights may not be available to the desired destination or only fly every so often.

Keeping Them Entertained

Once parents have decided on the right place to go with their children, it’s imperative to keep them entertained along the way. Long car trips are hard on young children. Older kids may get bored and frustrated during a long flight. It’s best to think about each kid’s needs. Some kids are visual learners. They find it useful to have visual imagery that lets them concentrate even in the middle of a busy airport. Others are fine with written materials. Any parent should go into the vacation fully prepared with a series of items that everyone traveling can enjoy. Little ones appreciate coloring books and crayons. Older kids love books that have interactive features such as mazes and puzzles. Now is also the time to bring back the art of family communication. Encourage kids to put down the videos and speak up. Create a list of topics that you know your kids care about such as baseball or caring for their favorite pets. A long car ride or waiting at the airport is the ideal time to teach kids how to engage in thoughtful and intelligent discussion with others.

Great Snacks

Traveling with kids means making sure each child has the right thing to eat. Some children have allergies and may not be able to consume gluten or other substances. In that case, it’s best to bring snacks with you. Your child may have a list of snacks they prefer that are known to be safe. Find out what you can bring on the plane before you leave. Other kids have certain food preferences. If your child lives on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, be sure to make sure you have ingredients to make them. This is also a good way to save money. Many places charge a lot of money for drinks and even a small bite to eat. Overcome this issue by bringing food with you as you go. The food you make yourself is not only less expensive than standard roadside fare. It’s also more nutritious.

Hey all! Big thanks to Katy Blevins for handing over the reins to me at the end of 2017 to fulfill my new years resolution to write...often! Based in Miami, you can find me blogging about family life as a mother of two young kids. But i'll also continue the Chaos and Kiddos theme of business, fashion, parenting, product reviews, and...well, I could go on and on.

Riding Jerseys Perfect for Summer Riding

Published

on

Summer time brings about memories of lemonade and shorts, of ice cream and picnics, and of barbecue and pool parties.

All in all, it is a time that is enjoyed by anyone and everyone from the family. And the free time that all kids and some adults get during the summer only adds to the value of the season.

Some take up the time to go and visit far off lands, while others make it a habit to simply lay low at home. On the other hand, some take things to the next level, and utilize the opportunity to indulge in hobbies they didn’t have time for during the year.

That is why it is not shocking to see summer riders coming to the road along with their motorcycles for the season; where they are all ready to pay tribute to the sunny weather with their roaring engines.

But with this great power of riding motorcycles, also comes the great responsibility of caring for ones’ own as well as others’ safety. That is the reason why accessories such as motorcycle helmets are all the rage in the summer, and is one reason why you should look into them if you are a motorcycle aficionado.

Safety Doesn’t Mean You Have to Compromise on Style

While safety precautions are often seen as one of the most obvious killers of everything amazing in the world, it is not always the case.

This is especially true when it comes to safety gear for motorcycles. In fact, obtaining helmets, chest protectors or elbow guards could actually add that certain level of style to your riding persona that doesn’t come easy for anyone.

Designed for style, comfort, and safety, specialized motorcycle safety gear is the perfect mix of these aspects.

Due to this, wearing safety gear doesn’t translate to you being afraid of the unknown, but wanting to be prepared for it just in case – with some non-mistakable style to boot.

What helps greatly in this aspect is that this specialized gear is widely available for all shapes and sizes. So regardless of the fact that you are working towards a thinner summer body or just packing some extra weight, you would certainly be able to enjoy wearing the gear as you ride off into the sunset.

Pair Them Up with Colorful Jerseys for a Style Statement

If you are one to not compromise on your fashion sense but understand the importance of safety, know that there are options for you.

You might be happy to know that you don’t have to compromise your fashion values just because you want to be wise about your safety.

With colorful riding jerseys that are perfect for summer riding, you could definitely have fun and stay safe simultaneously.

The best part about this is that you don’t have to look far to obtain clothing, gear and accessories for your riding adventure. Thanks to the Internet, you could find a credible provider and buy the best motorcycle parts and accessories without setting foot outside of your door.

So whether you are riding your motorcycle just for a few days or want to make it a habit over the summer vacation, make sure to pair up some safety gear together. This wouldn’t only provide your family with the assurance of your safety, but also go a long way into making you a summer style icon among your social circle.

Stay safe and ride on!

This is why Ibiza is one of the best locations to arrange an event. Whether is a private party for friends and family, a stunning White Isle wedding for a hundred of your favorite people, or even a full blown professional event for one thousands with the best entertainment money can buy, Ibiza is the best place to host a party of any size. It will certainly be a party no one will forget.

Don’t think of Ibiza just as the party capital of the world. The island has many facets as a destination and is great for chilling out or doing business too. Here are some of the top reasons why you should make your next big event happen in Ibiza.

  1. You can’t beat the weather

As one of the Balearic islands, set in the Mediterranean Sea, you would expect the weather to be amazing, and it is.

Ibiza sees over 300 days of sunshine each year, for 10 hours a day. Not only that the temperature sits at over 20°C (68°F) for 8 months of the year, and in the summer months it will go over 30°C (86°F). Of course being an island, the hottest days are tempered by cooling sea breezes.

This is perfect for any event, especially if you are looking to host your event outdoors you will almost certainly be guaranteed the clear weather. Of course the added benefit is that between planning and organising you can always head to the beach yourself and work on your tan.

2. There are some amazing locations not found anywhere else in the world

The coastline of Ibiza is around 210 kilometres, with 57 different beaches. For a beach party or at least a party overlooking the sea (and that world famous Ibiza sunset) there are plenty of options.

If you really want to wow your guests, there is so much choice of upmarket venues too, from luxurious beach clubs, private villas and restaurants. The hardest part will be choosing between them!

Don’t forget, there are even some more unusual venues, like the caves cut into the coastline, and you can even head inland too. There are some stunning places available in the centre of the island that are accessible from all the different coastal towns and villages.

3. Ibiza knows how to organise a party

Ibiza has been the party capital of the world for almost 40 years. And with that comes experience and the knowledge on how to make an event a success. Any self respecting Ibiza party planner will have a phone book full of the best local and international contacts for everything from event logistics and booking performers to creative marketing.

If you are new to event planning in Ibiza, this experience is worth its weight in gold so don’t overlook it if you want peace of mind and a successful evening you can actually enjoy.

4. Did someone say ‘boat party’ ?

If you really want to throw the party of the year for you and a few (hundred?) friends – then look no further than a boat party.

Being an island with unbelievable crystal blue waters and plenty of boat hire options, it is easier than you might think to throw a party on a boat. It will be pretty special and certainly not a party that will be forgotten in a hurry.

5. The food is fantastic and the chefs are genius

One of the other great benefits of being on an island, is access to the freshest and greatest variety of seafood you could possibly hope for. And the way it is cooked, from traditional local dishes to the more well known is so fresh and tasty your guests will be amazed.

And there is no shortage of talents chefs to help prepare the catering for your party – whether for 10 people or 200. Do not panic if seafood is not the best option for your guests, there is every type of cuisine available here is you want it.

6. Arrive for the event, stay for the holiday

By hosting an event in Ibiza, the people you invite not only get to attend a great night’s entertainment, they can stay on in one of the many luxury hotels and enjoy some true rest and relaxation by the pool and on the beach. Or you can even arrange multiple follow up events if you want to and really maximise your networking.

Ibiza is so well known, not only for it’s amazing party scene but also for the quieter and chilled feel. So choosing the island as the place to throw a party is a great idea to persuade people to come. And the island is so picturesque you can sit back and enjoy all the free publicity on social media!

7. Travel links and accommodation on Ibiza is great

With so many visitors flooding the island every year, Ibiza is completely geared up for transport and logistics. Ibiza is surprisingly large to get around, but because there are plenty of transport options, from taxi to car hire, getting about (and getting supplies delivered for your event!) is somewhat easier than you might expect given that most visitors and supplies often have to come from the mainland.

Accomodation wise, there is something available for every taste and budget. From quiet inland villas to great exclusives hotel, right down to budget options there is a lot to choose from across the island.

Of course choosing a location for an event that is accessible is important, but people will travel across the island to go to a good event, and they have the means to do so. Added to this, the international airport on Ibiza caters for thousands of visitors every week.

A Unique Travelling Experience for the Family

Published

on

With spring break currently in full force and summer just around the corner, you and your family may be using the free time to plan for a big vacation during the extended summer holidays.

If going to Disneyland or another theme park sounds too typical or superficial, then you can look at the options for short-term educational tours.

Centered around the concept of offering a diverse range of educational fun for the whole family, these tours can prove to be the perfect mix of knowledge and joy for all ages.

To help you form an informed opinion about taking an education tour, here are a few reasons why such a tour could be a fun, enthralling and unique travelling experience for your family.

It Can Provide Firsthand Experiences

Developed with the very thought of teaching through different aspects, an educational tour lets you and your family learn new things during your travels.

You are no longer limited to using your imagination to interpret someone else’s words or using your vision to appreciate a picture on your screen. Instead of only reading about faraway places and their various traits, you can actually experience them firsthand by living through them together with your family. This allows you to use all of your senses to experience things as they are in real life.

This lets you and your family have a greater understanding of what it actually feels like to be in a place instead of just reading about it. That by itself enables all of you to use that experience in a variety of aspects such as work, school and personal life.

It Lets You Appreciate What is There in the World

Whether you are learning about the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu or getting Spanish lessons from locals in Ecuador, an educational tour can introduce you to newfound appreciation and understanding of different cultures and places.

This makes sure that you are no longer limited to filtered sources of information. You can learn the basics of several languages, study the topics of various cultures, and absorb the knowledge of how life is in different places of the world.

It lets you and your family develop empathy for the planet and its inhabitants, and that allows you to make better decisions in your everyday lives.

It Makes You More Confident

Traveling to different places and learning about the life there doesn’t only educate you from a perspective of knowledge, but it also helps you grow from a personal aspect.

Since you and your family members are able to learn through different experiences of various people and explore sights that you have never traveled before, all of you get to grow more confident, perceptive and knowledgeable from the experience.

As such, you are ready to take on any challenges that life throws your way. The older people in your family could learn to apply these skills at their workplace, while younger members could use this assertiveness during their school and college with ease. All in all, it helps you boost your performance, and lets you apply your newly gained education in various aspects of life.
